Clinical Supervision is extremely important in the field of therapy and counselling for both experienced and less experienced clinicians.
How Clinical Supervision can help you
- Support for supervisees to enhance their skills, competence and confidence
- A reflective space to explore/co-create
- A place to review work with clients
- Guidance on delivering services to clients in a safe and ethical manner
Supervision is provided across a range of delivery modes and settings including face-to-face, online and over the telephone. I offer one-on-one supervision and group supervision in workplaces and organisations.
My approach to supervision is heavily influenced by Systems Theory. I co-create a reflective space in supervision to help my supervisees broaden their lens when looking at a case to enable them to explore other meanings, and come up with alternative views and new insights into cases. The feedback I receive from supervisees is that my approach has helped them to maintain a stance of neutrality and curiosity, which in turn has inspired deeper exploration of their client’s presenting problems.
